Kettering grad takes on Nick Jonas’ “Levels,” does it better

No disrespect intended, but take a seat Nick Jonas.

Kettering Fairmont High School graduate Colton Jones’ take on Jonas’ hit “Levels” sends the tune, well, up a level.

Full disclosure: Colton’s mom Mary Irby-Jones is a colleague who works at WHIO-TV, and I’ve watched him grow up.

But the proof is in the chops, and Colton has them.

He was a member of Fairmont’s celebrated student a capella choir “Eleventh Hour” when it appeared on NBC’s The Sing-Off in 2010.

Time flies.

Colton is now a senior at Belmont University in Nashville.  His school mates Kevin Hutchens and
Sam Rodberg perform on the song.

Singing is nothing new for Colton. He’s been doing it since he was 9.
